Dragonfly
Wrong place, wrong time. No birds. The only movement under the scorching sun comes from dragonflies. Even the moss covering the stones in the stream has turned yellow.

I start walking toward the car, thinking about using my macro lens to photograph dragonflies up close, but I’m not very enthusiastic about it. I change my mind and return with a 400mm lens.
As I shift the frame and merge different shots, the dance begins.

The dragonflies occasionally land on patches of green in the shade and make quick sorties toward me.
No birds? Well, if I exaggerate the camera shake a little, the dragonfly starts to resemble a bird.
